Through Struggles to Write in Scopus Journal, Yeni Becomes the Best Doctoral Graduate of FST

UNAIR NEWS – Difficulty in dividing time between family and doctoral studies did not make Yeni Kustiyahningsih lose her spirit. This was proven by Yeni achieving the title of best doctoral graduate of Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) Universitas Airlangga with a GPA of 3.87.

In his final assignment, the student born in Sidoarjo, September 21, 1977, raised the title “Multi-Criteria Group Decision Making Model with Adaptive Interval Value Fuzzy for E-Learning System Recommendation. In the dissertation, he discussed the creation of a multi-criteria group decision making model framework with the concept of adaptive interval value fuzzy and constructed a hybrid model of the Adaptive Interval Value Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AIVFAHP) method with the Adaptive Interval Value Fuzzy Technique for Order Preference of Similarity Ideal Solution (AIVFTOPSIS). Also implemented a decision model for measurement and recommendation of the e-learning system.

“My research article/dissertation was accepted in a reputable journal and indexed by Scopus,” he said.

Yeni said that it was not easy for the dissertation to be accepted in a reputable journal and indexed by Scopus. She had also faced difficulties in determining the topic and title of the dissertation until finding the common thread of her doctoral research. In addition, access to paid international journals was very limited so that the information obtained was not optimal.

“Incomplete information about journals indexed by Scopus, predatory journals and fake journals also make it a little difficult for me to submit journals,” he added.

However, the many obstacles faced did not make Yeni give up easily. The principle is not to delay tasks from lecturers and to make plans for what will be done in the future. Also, never forget to pray and always try. As a result, her dissertation was accepted in a reputable journal and indexed by Scopus.

“Read as many journals as possible and submit the journal immediately if the proposal has been taken,” he added.

In the future, in addition to returning to serve as a lecturer at Trunojoyo University Madura, Yeni plans to develop the field of doctoral research by writing many publications both nationally and internationally. In addition, she will also develop doctoral research that is tailored to the needs and local wisdom in Madura. (*)
